Transparent by design
Maya Rowan is the fictional editorial persona used by the PWAs.app team to explain progressive web app capabilities in plain language. Technical scores and capability claims come from repeatable automated checks, not personal endorsements.
This persona gives the directory a consistent editorial voice without pretending that automated measurements are personal reviews. It is openly labelled as fictional everywhere it appears.
What the score measures
The technical score checks HTTPS, manifest validity, identity, launch URL, display mode, icon coverage, screenshots and visible service-worker signals. It does not measure product quality, privacy or commercial trustworthiness.
What moderation checks
Submitted URLs first pass network-safety and PWA eligibility checks. Suspicious subject matter is flagged, but publication and rejection remain human decisions. Listings are never sold a higher organic rank.
Corrections
Publishers can resubmit an updated URL or contact the directory through the submission form. Technical facts are refreshed from the source website rather than manually invented.
